Growing fast

Molly continues to be a very patient young girl. She is starting to look at things a little. She likes looking at herself in the mirror. She can hold her head a little better so she isn't flopping around. The past few days she has a bit of an upset tummy but we think she is getting a little bit better.

She had several visitors recently including her Aunt Tootie and her Aunt KA. She likes visits a lot.

Check-up

Molly Ann had her appointment today and weighs over 10 lbs. She is in the 90th percentile for weight, off the charts for height and head circumference. Everything looks good and healthy. She is resting now while her big sister goes shopping for popsicles.

Tummy Time

Molly turned her head during tummy time with Daddy. She probably did it with Mommy as well, but Mommy lets Daddy share in some of the glory every so often. For the record it was right to left. She is also starting to reach for things on her mat a lot more.

Molly had a visit from her cousins today and Monique hung out with Claudia for awhile. Molly isn't quite sure how to play yet so she slept most of the time.

Doctors appointment on Monday. Any guesses on weight?

End of the week

Molly is 12 days old and has been doing pretty well. On Monday she heads in for a two week check-up (and Daddy goes back to work). She has been sleeping really well but was awake more than usual during the day today.

Yawn

Molly had a nice visit today from Grandma Keating and also from Aunt KA. Pretty soon we are off for our first big walk!

1 Week

Much has changed in a week in all of our lives (Abby too!). Molly Ann is a full week old and is looking much better. She was a bit yellow for awhile, but that has largely disappeared. She still has a a red spot in her eye from the birth (it was a bit traumatic) but that should go away soon as well. Her complexion is much better and she isn't quite as "squishy".

This week we hope to get into a bit more of a routine. Mommy will have some 2 on 1 time as well to see how that goes. There will be moments, I am sure.

Good Morning

Molly is almost one week old!

Friday

Last night Molly had her first bath at home and did pretty well. She seems to be the sanest person in the household. She pretty much just sleeps. She probably stays awake for one or two periods each day.

She went back for a weight check today and had gained 8 ounces in 2 days which is a lot. She was a very good girl at the doctor's and didn't cry at all.

Pidge and Rick came to meet Molly today and brought lots of good cheer. Molly has a Yankees shirt now. Her sister is hitting it off the tee now (and pretty well!) so it is just a matter of time before we have fielding practice. I think if you are a girl in Southbury you almost have to play field hockey, but we shall see....

Thursday

Mimi and Aunt Susannah arrived from Pennsylvania to meet Molly. Molly has been a real good girl. She sleeps a whole lot, maybe too much as she needs to eat a bit more and its hard to keep her awake.
We received some nice gifts so far and lots of great thoughts and we thank everyone.

Thursday

Molly is still doing pretty well. She has been a good girl. We have had a lot of help from Grandma the past few days and today Mimi and Aunt Susannah arrive to help for a few days. At this point Kasey is officially tired.

Wednesday

Molly went to the doctor's office. She is a little underweight but otherwise is just fine. She was a very good patient and let the doctor do all the tests without any complaints.

Everything is going OK so far.

Home

Molly is home.

Day Two

Molly seems to sleep whenever Daddy is around. Apparently Mommy is keeping her awake most of the night so she immediately falls asleep as soon as Daddy arives in the morning. Mommy was quite flabbergasted.

We expect to be home tomorrow. The baby is eating well. She has a few more tests to go through before she can leave.

Claudia brought Molly some books to read today and she also held her hand for a long time.

Day One

Molly has had a good day so far. The highlight was certainly the visit from her big sister (video to follow...). She is such a good sister already.

Her first visit was from the Kopecs and she really enjoyed that visit. She fell asleep in Elizabeth's arms right away. I think she is pretty worn out.

Grandma Keating followed soon after. At this point big sister staked out a spot on Mommy's bed just to make things clear. Aunt Patty and Molly's cousins Jack, Hunter, and Monique soon arrived as well.

Molly has been pretty quiet all day. She has eaten a little, but we are trying to have her eat some more. Mommy is certainly ready for some sleep as well.

Happy Birthday

Molly Ann Schneider was born this morning at Yale New Haven Hospital. She weighs 8lbs 12 ozs. She is 21.75 inches long. She has lots of dark hair and blue eyes. Another miracle child thanks to the doctors at Yale.

Everyone is doing well and resting. Soon I will wake Claudia so she can go meet her little sister. Very exciting.
